Miracle on Royal Bridge

This is a testimony of God's grace and the miracle that we received.

Thanksgiving day, November 24th, 2005 started like many others. What we didn’t know was that it would not end up being like any we had experienced before.
I woke early, as was custom to this day. I began my usual tasks feeling that this day would be like all the others we had spent with our family. What I did not know was it would not be a normal Thanksgiving Day but one that we would remember because of God’s grace to us, and to our son Michael.
I prepared the turkey breasts and put them in the oven and began to prepare the many other dishes that we normally had on this special day. I got everything ready by about eleven and my husband and our fourth son Joshua sat down and ate before any of our other children and grand children arrived because some of them would be at in-laws first and then would come and spend the rest of the day with us.
Around twelve thirty or so our son Mike, his wife Kattie and sons Ethan and Noah arrived and sat down to eat. We were trying to talk little Noah in to trying some things he had never tried before and Mike had just begun to eat, he had literally taken two or three bites when his pager went off. There was a woods fire where homes were in danger . He talked to the Fire Chief and told him that he would go and our other son T. C. would go with him. He talked to T. C. and they decided that he would meet him on scene. He left in the fire truck and since we live across the highway from the station we heard the siren and thought that everything was fine. What we didn’t know was he had wrecked just a short distance from our home and we didn’t even know it. We did hear more sirens, an ambulance and more fire trucks, but we never thought anything was wrong. We just continued to feed the boys and put food up until others arrived to eat.
A few minutes had passed and my husband came in from outside and said “what are all the sirens about” and we said “it must be a big fire and they had called other stations to assist”.
Our son T. C. had arrived at the scene, Mike was not there, and then he heard the call on his pager that the fire truck had went off the bridge and he knew that it was Mike so he left that scene to go to the bridge. He got there in record time, from what his wife Maranda said, and was told that Mike was not responding and the fire chief sent him to tell us the situation. We began to pray while waiting for the helicopter to arrive. The next part of the story is a quote from my husband…………

"Immediately we all began to call out to the Lord and the Lord spoke to me words of Life. Whose report will you believe said the Lord? I replied, I believe your report alone. The Lord said again; don’t even believe a good report from man. The first report we received was that Mike would not make it. He had a fatal blood clot on his brain. I did not believe their report. They did their operation and it was a success, they brought us a good report, and I saw what the Lord meant by, don’t believe a good report from man. He’s stable and alive but. All of their reports were full of buts. I did not believe their reports, only the report of the Lord; by his stripes we are healed. There are no buts, only a finished work on the cross. My son was made completely whole by the faith of Jesus Christ; he went to the Cross and died so my son could live".
Mike was out of the hospital in 15 days. He is fine now, he lives a normal life but only because of God’s grace.
